Zeke lived at the Buddy Foundation having been adopted twice, and signed over to the shelter following the ill health of his last adopter. As an elder cat, he was passed over for adoption and was cared for at the shelter as his health slowly went from bad to worse. On the last day of his life, he met one of the caregivers at the door. They could tell that Zeke was not well and just wanted to be held. The caregiver wrapped him up in a blanket, held and rocked him. Zeke passed away in their arms. Zeke knew it was his time and wanted to be with the people he loved at the shelter and not at some animal hospital.
