Mr. Charles L. Hurley, 75, of Lake, passed away Friday, April 25, 2003, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
He was born December 17, 1927, at Livingston, Ky., a son of the late Robert and Lula Bales Hurley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lula Frances; two grandsons, Jerry Dale and Allen Dale, and nine brothers.
Mr. Hurley was a retired coal miner of 43 years, a member of the UMWA and regularly attended the Emanuel Remnant Church at Danville and the Lake Holiness Church.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Martha Craddock Hurley; one daughter, Taunya (Billy) Hayes of Lake; three sons, Willis (Shelby) Hurley and Jerry (Carol) Hurley, both of Lake, and Eric (Judy) Hurley of Danville; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville with Brothers Tom Farley and Ralph Caudill and Pastors John Stafford and Wesley Craddock officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Carter, Chris Miller, James Goodman, Ty Robinson, Lee Dingess and Bob Bryant.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hayes, Mark Abbott and Farron Hurley.
