A family memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Effingham. The funeral mass will be streamed live on facebook: Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Effingham, IL or on Youtube: SacredHeartEffingham. Entombment will be St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis with military rites. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.
Dennis was born on June 22, 1947, in Marshall, IL, the son of Daniel and Dorothy (Norris) Amacher. He married Judy Heuerman on December 4, 1971.
Fred served his country in the United States Army. He worked his lifetime in the printing industry starting at World Color in Effingham before moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma with the company. Moving back to Effingham in 1996, he worked at Quebecor World Petty Printing until his retirement in 2008.
Fred is survived by his wife, Judy Amacher; daughters, Tina (Benjamin) Goeckner and Sara (Bill) Muma; son-in-law, Brandon Coe; grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Arther, Gracie, Paden and Trenton Coe, Gavin Muma, and Jacob Mehl; great-granddaughter, Anna Bird; and 2 brothers, 3 sisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Brenda Coe.
