Stanley was born April 17, 1935 to Merton & Vivian (Flisram) Fisher. On January 7, 1961 he married Audrey Helen Kahler in Herrick, SD.
Stanley was in the rental business for over 50 years. Because of his warmheartedness and sense of responsibility, his tenants saw him as an excellent landlord. He enjoyed tinkering to make or find just the right part to fix something. He could repair just about anything. In addition to his dedication to his business, he enjoyed western memorabilia, rodeos and cowboy movies, "Lonesome Dove" being one of his favorites.
He developed many friendships as a result of being a longstanding member of South Canyon Lutheran Church. He was quick to start up a conversation and tell a story or a joke. Stanley had a strong relationship with his Lord and Savior and looked forward to being in his Father's arms with his beloved wife, Audrey.
One of Stanley's biggest accomplishments was being a loving father, grandfather and soon-to-be great grandfather. Being a kind and dependable dad was of the utmost importance to him. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Stanley is survived by his daughters and their spouses, his sister and her spouse,4 grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, parents and siblings; Joyce Banning, Burton Fisher and Glenn Fisher.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 15, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Baesler officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
