Cleo Virginia Allen Ray, born to the late Clay Columbus and Aileen Hicks Allen on January 31, 1928, went on to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Glenn Ray, to whom she was married for fifty-four joyous years; her brothers, Guy, Zane, and Bruce; her sister, Annie; her son-in-law, Billy Davis.

Survivors are children, Sandra Ray Davis, Gloria Ray Brown, Lamar Bodie Ray, and Susan (Jimmy) Fox; her grandchildren, Scott (Christie) Fox, Heather (Stuart) Balliew, Melody (Butch) Stansell; her great-grandchildren, Madeline and Claire Fox, Ryley and Brody Balliew, and Emilee Stansell.

Cleo was a wonderful wife and stay-at-home mother. Besides loving and caring for her own children, Cleo invited their friends and the children of the neighborhood into her family’s home; she loved them all.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Regency Park as they cared for Cleo for the past three and ½ years. Hamilton Hospice will be remembered and appreciated by the Ray family as well.

A private graveside will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Chandler Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Pallbearers are Brodie Ray, Stuart Balliew, Brody Balliew, Scott Fox, and Butch Stancell.
