Letha A. (Gingerich) Holtzapple
October 3, 1924 - December 10, 2020

YORK - Letha A. (Gingerich) Holtzapple, 96, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at York Hospital. Letha was the wife of the late James R. "Dick" Holtzapple, who passed away on March 5, 2013. Upon his passing, the couple was married for 69 years. A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Thursday December 17th, 2020 at Mt. Rose Cemetery 1502 Mt Rose Ave, York, PA 17403 with Pastor Russ Judy officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc 1551 Kenneth Road, York 17408 is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Pleasureville on October 3, 1924, Letha was the daughter of the late Lewis and Cordie E. (Snyder) Gingerich. Mrs. Holtzapple was a member at the Pleasureville United Methodist Church for 62 years where she served in various committees and sang in the choir for 50 years. Letha worked for the Motor Freight Express for 30 years as the payroll supervisor and retired in February of 1983. Mrs. Holtzapple was a charter member of the Springettsbury Lions Club and served as the President and Treasurer. She was also a member of the Longstown Village Harmonaires Chorus.

Letha is survived by her two sons; Larry Holtzapple and his wife, Violeta of Wellsboro, PA, Terry Holtzapple and his wife, Elva of Coudersport, PA; grandchildren, Jason Holtzapple and his wife Angela, Leanne Livingston; great grandchildren, Austin Holtzapple, Ryder James Livingston, Axel Jacob Livingston and several nieces and nephews.

Letha was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn King; two brothers, Morgan and Robert Gingrich.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Letha's honor to your favorite charity or to the Pleasureville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2606 N. Sherman St. York, PA 17406.

In Letha's own words she writes; "My sincere thanks to my family for their kindness & thoughtfulness through the years. God bless each one of you. To my friends, thank you for being my friend. God bless all of you."
