Claude Gore

Claude William Gore, 86, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was born on January 18, 1934, in Silsbee, to Hazel Hargroder Gore and Claud Fortenberry Gore. Mr. Gore proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, fighting in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Nancy Simmons Gore; daughter, Molly Gore Lindsey and her husband, Christopher, of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandchildren, Second Lieutenant Christopher Lindsey, USMC, Olivia Lindsey, Catherine Lindsey, Claudia Lindsey, and Ella Lindsey; and sister, Sheila Smith and her husband, James, of Conroe. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Richard “Rocky” Eric Gore.

Mr. Gore’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
