ARBES
Martin A. Arbes, 67, Linn, died Sept. 4, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Hydro, Okla., a son of Alois W. and Wilhelmina "Maggie" Henzler Arbes. He was married Jan. 23, 1960, in Linn, to Gail Lavon White , who died Dec. 5, 1999.
A resident of Linn since 1946, he graduated from Linn R-2 High School. He was an Army veteran.
He was employed with Jaegers Poultry for 20 years, and had been employed with Grellner Sales and Service for the past 15 years. He was a member of St. George Church, Linn.
Survivors include: one son, Darin W. Arbes, Bonnots Mill; one daughter, Marla M. Nilges, Jefferson City; one sister, Lois Arbes, Bonnots Mill; and two grandchildren.
One son, Paul M. Arbes, died June 15, 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. George Church. The Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
