Trigg County Native Dies in Illinois

Arthur Clarence Aldridge died unexpectedly Tuesday night about 7:30 after suffering a heart attack at his home in South Holland, Ill. Mr. Aldridge, born in 1890, died on his 73rd birthday.

A native of Trigg County, he was the son of Eugene Thomas and Susan Guthrie Aldridge.

Funeral services will be held Friday at DeYoung and Uroegh Funeral Home in South Holland and burial will be in South Holland.

He had been an employee of the C. and E. I. Railroad since 1920 and retired only three years
ago.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ena Burnett Aldridge; daughters, Mrs. Lucian Stewart of Gracey and Rita Jane Aldridge, 14, of South Holland; a son, Arthur Clarence Aldridge Jr., Patagonia, Ariz.; and two brothers, Charles and Carl Aldridge, Sinking Fork community. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

His first wife, Nancy Boyd Aldridge, preceded him in death on March 10, 1942.
