Amy Adams, age 100, of Rhinelander, died on December 6, 2020, at the Grace Lodge, in Rhinelander. She was born on September 6th, 1920 in Washburn, Wisconsin the daughter of Enok and Edith (Wickstrom) Ekholm.

Amy graduated from Ondosagon High School and Superior State Teachers College. She taught at Wrenshall, Minnesota before coming to teach at Central School in Rhinelander in 1943. On June 26, 1948 she married Reginald Adams and they were blessed with 46 years together. After raising their two boys Amy returned to teaching at Central School in 1966 until retiring in 1985.

Amy was an active member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School and enjoyed being part of the Faith Circle and the quilting group. She was also a member of the Rhinelander Area Retired Teachers Association.

Amy is survived by her sons Scott (Susan) Adams and Bruce Adams, her grandchildren Melissa (Jason) Coe, Kyle (Danielle) Adams and Brett (Katie) Adams, her great grandchildren Teanna and Makayla Fultz, Bailey and Brandi Coe and Ace and Ava Adams, her sisters Shirley Erickson and Lois Carr, her brother Harley (Jackie) Ekholm, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald on November 4, 1994, her parents and her sisters Doris Gustafson and Leone Edquist.

Visitation and funeral services for Mrs. Adams were held on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Reverend Tammy Barthels officiating.
