Walter A. Pierce, Sr., 87, of Wynne, died on December 7, 2020, at St. Bernard's Regional Hospital.

Walter was born in Vanndale, Arkansas, to the late Harvey Pierce and Opal Andrews Pierce. He was a retired butcher. Walter was a great family man. He made to all of his childrens high school games and very supportive of all they did. He loved to watch sports on TV, especially baseball.

He is survived by his daughter, Loyce Bell Jones of Washington, sons, Walter Pierce, Jr. of Wynne, Ronald and Larry Pierce both of Michigan, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren, brother, W. J. "Dub" Pierce and wife Pauline of Wynne, and sister, Betty Vanlue of Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Opal Pierce, his wife of over 60 years, Betty Pierce in November of 2020, and brother, Orville Pierce.

Mr. Pierce family will hold a private memorial service at Vanndale Cemetery.
