Walter E. McGee, 74, of Gilpin Township, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

A son of the late Larue M. McGee and Florence L. (Ashbaugh) McGee, he was born April 10, 1946, in Schenley.

Walter was a 1964 graduate of Leechburg High School. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Vietnam War. For 38 years, he was employed as a millwright by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg before retiring in 2003. Walter was a member of the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, the Northern Mason Kittanning East Brady Lodge 244, the Leechburg-Gilpin Lions Club, the USWA Local 1138 of Leechburg, the Leechburg Food Bank and Leechburg - Gilpin Park. He enjoyed restoring old cars, woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and eating breakfast with his Mill friends at the Bonfire.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia K. (Jackson) McGee, of Gilpin Township; two daughters, Angela L. Vigna (Joseph) and Carol A. Williams (Mark; two grandchildren, Ethan J. Vigna (fiancee, Samantha Shugars) and Megan L. Vigna; a brother, James R. McGee (Mary Lee); and three sisters, Patricia Fouse (Russell), Laurie Duff (Ronald) and Deborah McGee, of Gilpin Township.

Burial will be in Ford City Cemetery in Manor Township.
