Entered into rest on September 23, 2018. She was predeceased by her parents, William Dick and May Schaad Dick of Rochester and her sister, Joan Dick Curtice.
She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Walter R. Bittner; her children, Susan (Timothy) Mee of Rush, Nancy Flood of Henrietta and Thomas Bittner of Victor.
She is also survived by the lights of her life, six grandchildren, Daniel (Julia) Flood; Rachel Mee (Jonathan) Carmody; Eric Flood; Amanda Mee, Kacie Bittner, Colby Bittner; and great-grandson, Jackson D. Flood. Barbara is also survived by her brothers, William Dick and Ronald (June) Dick; several nieces and nephews.
Family was everything to Barbara and she loved them beyond all measure. She will be deeply missed by both her family and her friends.
Barbara's life will be celebrated at her Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 AM, on Thursday, September 27th, in Saint Joseph's Church 1209 Rush West Rush Road Rush, New York 14543. Interment will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rochester and Finger Lakes Region Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
