He was born in Madison County and attended Madison Schools. He served with the U. S. Army from 1953-1970; stationed in Korea, Germany and Viet Nam. He was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marian Lanier of Jennings; 3 sons, P. K. Lanier, IV; Donald Lanier and Michael Lanier; 3 daughters, Sharon Lanier, Ginny Lanier and Patty Lanier; all six of Jennings; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. K. Lanier, Jr., of Madison; 2 sisters, Mrs. Gene Bristol of Oakland, NJ; and Mrs. Peggy Hinson of Rock Hill, SC. Services were Friday November 5, 1971 at Beggs Funeral Home with interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. - Madison Enterprise
