Fern C. (Leak) Solomon-Hau, 97, of Streator died January 22, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born September 26, 1900 in Numa, Iowa, she was a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Leak. She married Otis Solomon in 1918. He died in 1932. She later married John Hau in 1935. He died in 1948.
She is survived by sons: Charles William (Bernie) Solomon of Pineville, SC and John (Dorothy) Hau of Streator; daughters: Bernice Vega, Carol (Herman) Gaede, and Elsa (Richard) Krumscheid, all of Streator and Eileen (Max) Mehrhoff of Mission, TX; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters; four grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.
She attended First Assembly of God church.
