Survivors are her son, Jack Carpenter; brother Kelly Burrell of Gastonia; sisters, Mrs. Macie Hamilton, Mrs. Rena Penley, both of Gastonia, Mrs. Ola Parker of Charlotte, Mrs. Elsie Rawlston of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepson, Keith Carpenter; stepdaughters, Mrs. Frances McAlister of Dallas, Mrs. Rachel Rhyne; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat- grandchildren.
