Elnora (Dorothy) Lee Otte Rutledge of San Antonio, was called to her heavenly home on November 24, 2020, at the age of 93.

She was born to Oscar Charles Otte and Lillie Mae Russell Otte on March 26, 1927.

Elnora lived a long life as matriarch of her family always taking care of everyone else and trying to help in some way that she could. She retired as Supervisor from the Bexar County Child Support Office. After retiring, she went back to college, worked several part-time jobs and volunteered her time at the Bexar County Child Support Office and the Thomas Jefferson United Methodist Church, as well as devoting her time to friends in need and caring for every cat and dog stray in the neighborhood.

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Rutledge, step-son Lester Rutledge, Jr., step-daughter Barbara Rutledge Burleson, brothers Narvel and Alfred Otte, nephew Johnnie Otte, former son-in-law Francisco Griego and son-in-law Chuck Homan.

Elnora is survived by her daughters, Leslie Gail Burgess (Jeff), Pattie Lee Homan, Linda Sue Nesloney and Karen Kay Rutledge; step-son, Paul Eugene Rutledge, Sr. (Linda); long time family friends, Molly and John Thompson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and church family.

Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2020 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Park South. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.

In accordance with CDC safety precautions, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing in the chapel and at the cemetery. There will be a 75 person maximum allowed in the chapel. We thank you in advance.
