Gaston A. Chatlain, 68, of Alexandria died at 7:30 pm, April 26 in Rapides General Hospital. He was a former painter and vinyl hanger.

Survivors include his wife Bertie Chatlain of Alexandria; one daughter, Mrs. Charlie Jones of Spring, Texas; four sons Grady Chatlain of Pineville, Jerry Chatlain of Deville, Wade Chatlain and Gaston A. Chatlain, Jr., both of Alexandria; four sisters, Louise Chapman of Lake Charles, Hester Palmer of New Orleans, Evelyn Penney of Houston and Eola Buchannan of Alexandria; three brothers, E. P. Chatlain, Adam Chatlain and Landry Chatlain, all of Alexandria.

Services will be at 10 am Saturday in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under direction of Hixson Bros.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home where rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
