Richard L. “Dick” Glunt, 75, East Freedom, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late John and Gladys (McNally) Glunt. On March 13, 1966, he married Nancy J. Flaugh.

Surviving are his wife; four children: Penny L. Kelly (Robert) of East Freedom, Richard J. Glunt (Bobbi Jo) of Martinsburg, Tracy J. Dugan (Nick) of Nanty Glo and Lori A. Eicher (Andy) of Roaring Spring; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Terry and Ronald, both of Roaring Spring; and two sisters: Jill Colbert of Martinsburg and Joy Smith of Roaring Spring.

He was a 1964 graduate of Central High School and also graduated from the Williamsport Community College in tool and die. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in 2007 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville Campus.

Dick enjoyed hunting, his dog, Max, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family by Pastor Mark Lingenfelter. Interment will be made in Claysburg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dick’s memory may be given to Family Hospice (UPMC), 20 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, PA 16601. Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
