Hubert Wilson Hartin of Cedar Hill, TX, age 95, passed away on November 29, 2020 in Dallas, TX. He was born at the family home on Duncanville Road in Dallas County on March 15, 1925. After graduation from Duncanville High School, he continued working on the family farm. On October 15, 1946 Hubert married the love of his life, Walterrene Dodson. They moved to Grand Prairie, TX in the early 1950's where they built a new home. Hubert began working for Proctor & Gamble in 1950, retiring after 35 years. In 1970, he and his wife moved back to Cedar Hill building a home on part of the family farm.
Hubert was always devoted to his family, his church life, and spiritual life. As part of that journey, Hubert was one of the founding members of the Dalworth Church of Christ in Grand Prairie in the early 1950's. He would go on to serve as an elder for many years. Upon their move to Cedar Hill, Hubert became active in the Clark Road Church of Christ and would go on to become one of the founding members of the Downtown Church of Christ in Cedar Hill. He was very active in the Mission Printing outreach, even to the age of 93, as well as personally funding missionaries and their efforts.
Hubert is survived by his wife Walterrene; his two sons, Glynn and Mark; his five grandchildren Kari, Chad, Tonda, Brandi, and Jason; as well as eleven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and one sister, Juanita Bryant.
Visitation with the family is 5 - 7 pm, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Funeral services are 10:30 am, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.
