Mamie Green Porter
Mrs. Mamie Green Porter, 83, of Flag Marsh Road, Mt. Airy, widow of OIlie Porter, died Monday at her home.
Bom in Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret Narfield Green. She was a
member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Woodbine.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Ruby C. Justice, Mt. Airy, Mrs. Margaret P. Bennett, Woodbine; Mrs. Elsie A. Conaway, Woodbine; Mrs. Irene B. Gue, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Myra V. David, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Dollie E. Barnhart, Westminster, and Mrs. Erma J. Gartrell. Mt Any and a son, Carroll L. Porter, Woodbine. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs Clara Woodward and Mrs. Effie Justice, both of Mt Airy, and Mrs Nellie Hargett, Baltimore; 23 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the Waltz-Burrier FuneralHome, Liberty Road, Winfield, Friday at 11 a.m., with
Rev. William F R. Gilroy, pastor of the Calvary Lutheran Church, Woodbine, officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
