Born in Blackshear, GA on June 22, 1930, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Howell was a homemaker and had loved word searches, crafts including crocheting, and coloring. She also loved to work in her yards and listen to gospel and bluegrass music and be with her family. She was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church but had been attending Bridge Church at her apartment complex.
She was the last surviving daughter of the late Joseph Nathaniel & Hattie Altman Batten. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edward Howell; a son, James Edward Howell; and all of her sisters and brothers, Goldie, Ada Mabel, Martha Irene, Ruby, Bashie Eloise, Joseph Macon, James Loid, Lewis Alvin, Bernard, and Vernon.
Graveside services for Mrs. Howell will be held Monday morning, November 30, 2020, at 11 o’clock from the High Bluff Cemetery.
