Mrs. Mary “Gwen” Gwendlyn Hutcheson, age 80, of Muscadine, AL, passed away November 27, 2020.
She was born April 25, 1940, in Carroll County, GA, to the late Jack and Mildred Smith Burgess.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hutcheson; two daughters, Teresa Denman and [stepdaughter] Laura Hutcheson; a [step] grandson, James Hutcheson; and four brothers, Everett “Frog” Burgess, Malcolm Burgess, Ronnie Burgess, and Robbie Burgess.
Gwen, lovingly referred to as “Ginny,” was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She loved all of her family dearly and some of her favorite times were spent during family cookouts with all of her children and grandchildren laughing. She loved tor read her Bible every day and loved watching Andrew Wommack.
She is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Marty Laminack, of Fruithurst, AL and Pat Denman, of Villa Rica, GA; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Greg Denman, David and Angie Hutcheson, all of Muscadine, and Terry and Belva Denman, of Jenkinsburg, GA; seven grandchildren, Matthew Gentry, Heath Laminack, Blake Denman, Kevin Pike, Megan Whitmarsh, Destiny Denman, and Dellisa Denman; eight great grandchildren, Jordan Gentry, Lucas Gentry, Halle Grace Gentry, Kaidence Laminack, Dawson Laminack, Ellie Whitmarsh, Judd Whitmarsh, and Isaac Pike; a sister, Sue Gilreath, of Dallas, GA; and three brothers, Donnie Burgess and Mike “Bubba” Burgess, both of Tallapoosa, and Gary Burgess, of Waco, GA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 2:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Chester Pesnell and Rev. Wayne Pike officiating.
Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Mark Mitchell, Mark King, Cody King, Daniel Burgess, Derik Burgess, and Ronnie Burgess.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Interment will follow in Muscadine Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00PM.
