He was captured at Harper's Ferry, WV on Sept. 15, 1862, and was sent to Alexandria, Va. in Nov. 1862. He was captured again in Berryville, Va. on Aug. 13, 1964. They camped at Richmond, Va. on Aug. 28, 1864. He was sent to Salisbury, N.C. on Oct. 9, 1864. File states that he was admitted to the hospital in Salisbury, N. C. on Nov. 27, 1864, where he died of Catarrh on Jan. 23, 1865. Union Soldier.
