Beloved aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, friend, Ardith (Ardie) Naomi Jensen Barker, 87, died peacefully at home following a valiant and courageous struggle with cancer and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Ardith was born January 18, 1907, in Salt Lake City, to Christian P. and Minnie Simonsen Jensen. She married Melvin Hyrum Barker, May 9, 1931 in Evanston, Wyoming. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Always a classy lady, valiant and friend to all, she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include many special nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law, Ruth Barker Meranda, American Fork; Lola Barker Jones and Dorothy Barker Turnbow, both of Heber City.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 1994 at 11 a.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 So. Friends may call at the mortuary, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Deseret Memorial Mortuary.
