"We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
~ 2 Corinthians 5:8
Alice Catherine Tudor Martina passed away quietly November 21, 2020 in Cincinnati Ohio. She was 85 and had lived a long and fulfilling life. Alice was a nurse for 52 years. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's Nursing School after High School. Alice loved nursing and prided herself with always continuing her education whether required or not. She loved to learn. Found her niche was in the ER loving that fast-paced nursing. When her nursing career was coming to a close Alice decided she wanted to start her retirement career early and went to work at HR Block while still nursing. She worked there for 22 years starting as a tax preparation expert and continued working year round teaching tax prep and financial courses.
Mom was nothing but amazing!
Alice volunteered at many organizations in Cincinnati such as the American Cancer Society, Isaak Walton League & Salvation Army. Alice assisted with her children's Brownies, Girl Scouts and was class mom. Alice wasn't just content to write a check, she always donated her time. You only needed to ask, Ali was there to assist!
Mom had a sparkling sense of humor, loved to watch & play golf [she was so happy to finally see the Master's played!], loved to explore St. Pawley's Island, San Diego and Northern Michigan. Her talent at crossword puzzles was more than amazing and she was an excellent cook that inspired a few of her kids to follow her talent in the kitchen.
Alice is preceded in death by her Mother & Father [Alice Catherine & Ira Tudor], sisters Kay Kennaley & Mardie Gardner, brothers Robert & Tom Tudor and most importantly, the love of her life, her husband Gregory A. Martina.
Alice is survived by her children Lydia Kefauver [Matthew Knepp], Kathleen [John] Bauer, William [Melissa] Kefauver, grand children Alex [Lauren] Arthur, London Kefauver, Claire [Michael] Furbay, Rachel Bauer [Reid McCreary], Jack Bauer, Carrie B Gill as well as many loved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews from the Gardner, Kennaley, Drew, Tudor, Martina & Osler families.
Our Heavenly Father has her in His loving arms. Mom is out of pain, she can breathe again and is able to walk and laugh without struggling. Our human minds will miss her while our spiritual beings know she's in a better place.
No - C19 had nothing to do with Mom's passing.

Put aside politics, whatever inequality cause you are fighting for and just treasure what is in your own home. He's given us all so many gifts, the most important ones are taking care of one another.
