Mrs. Harriet Capp Harris, 88, of Fitzgerald, GA, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, GA. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Friday, April 13 at Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King St, Smyrna, GA, with Rev. Larry Willingham, officiating. Interment, will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM, Wednesday, evening at Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Harris was born September 18, 1918 in Dallas, TX to the late Alex and Lena Adams Capp. She lived most of her life in Atlanta, moving to Fitzgerald in 2003.

Mrs. Harris was a former employee of Blue Horse Stationary in Atlanta. She was a member Defoor Baptist Church, a former church pianist and enjoyed singing at various places including nursing homes.

Mrs. Harris is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carl L. and Vicki Harris of Fitzgerald, 2 grandchildren, Chip Harris and Pam Langley and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Clyde Harris, brother, Paul Capp and a sister, Ruby Manous.
