Darlene Virginia Fairfax Mills a lifelong resident of Manassas, VA was called home on 11/21/2020 due to complications from Dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Preceded in death by her father, Homer Fairfax, her mother Eloise Fairfax and her husband Kenneth Ray Mills.
She will be remembered and forever loved by her three children: Dodie and Nicolas VanWyen and James Allen Dancy both of Manassas, VA and Dina and Robert Dunn of Frisco, TX. She lives in the hearts of her seven grandchildren, Kenneth Reese VanWyen, Kristen Nicole Foster, Haylee Kaye, Dalton Wayne and Hannah Rose Dancy, Keira Grace and Ryan Caleb Dunn and her two great granddaughters Jade Foster and Sutton Foster. Her children and especially her grandchildren were the highlights of her life.
Darlene was the third oldest of 16 children. (nine girls: Ellen, Janet, Charlotte, Audrey, Corkey, Connie Sue, Betty Jean and Pam; and seven boys: Stanley, Warren, Wayne, Ronnie, Johnnie, Donald and Baby Boy Fairfax).
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and lived her life on her terms at all times. She will be remembered for her hard work ethic and her candor. She was a long tenured employee of the City of Manassas prior to her retirement and had worked hard over the years at many local Manassas businesses.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens. *Please be advised that only 25 people are permitted in the funeral home for the service, however all are welcomed to pay their respects at the graveside service*
