Tricia A. Larson, 55, of rural Fort Dodge, died July 7, 2020, at her home.

A service honoring Tricia’s life will be Saturday, July 25, at 10:30 a.m. in the gymnasium of Manson Northwest Webster Elementary School in Barnum, with Pastor Jim McColley officiating. Visitation is Friday, July 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the school gymnasium in Barnum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Manson Northwest Webster Elementary School. Those attending the visitation and service are encouraged to wear masks and observe physical distancing. Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.

Tricia is survived by her husband Eric; her children, Mackenzie (Kalib) King, Ellsworth; Zachary Larson and A.J. Larson, both of Fort Dodge; her siblings, Bill (Lori) Heun, Manson; Roxanne Kielas, Minnesota; Dawn Heun, Liberty, Missouri; her father-in-law Brian Larson; her brothers-in-law, Karl and Brent (Chrissy) Larson; 15 nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law Ardis Larson.

Tricia Ann Heun, the daughter of Walter and Joan (Stone) Heun, was born March 5, 1965, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Barnum High School in 1983. She attended Iowa Central Community College and received her B.A. degree in education from Iowa State University. On June 20, 1987, Tricia was united in marriage to Eric Larson in Badger. Tricia began her teaching career as a long term sub at Arey Elementary School. She joined the staff at Manson Northwest Webster as an elementary teacher and taught there for more than 30 years.

Tricia was active in PEP clubs with MNW schools and a member of the Iowa State Education Association. She enjoyed painting, scrapbooking, her dog and riding on the pontoon. Tricia especially treasured spending time with her family.
