Excerpt -- Mrs. Tina DeBerry Lewis, 67, an active club-woman most of her life, died Wednesday at her home, 552 E. Buchtel Ave., after an illness of more than four years. Born in Maryland, Mrs. Lewis had lived in Akron 35 years. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Orioles Nest 52 and honorary trustee of Ohio State Grand Nest, Fraternal Order of Orioles. Mrs. Lewis was also a member of the Daughters of America, Women of Moose 254, Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles 555, Pythian Sisters, Temple 247, Addie Day Auxiliary 52 of the Army & Navy Union, and the Auxiliary of the Joseph Wein VFW Post. She leaves behind her husband, Charles; sister, Mrs. Marie Aultman of Memphis, Tenn; and a brother, Joseph DeBerry of West Winfield, Pa. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Eckard Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
