Country Musician. Best known for a string of hits during the early 1990's, Ketchum released eleven albums during a career spanning three decades. His most commercially successful album was 1991's sophomore effort, Past the Point of Rescue, which produced four singles, two of which peaked at the number two position on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Driven by hits such as Small Town Saturday Night, the eponymous Past the Point of Rescue, and I Know Where Love Lives, the album was certified with a gold status by the RIAA. Ketchum's subsequent albums, Sure Love and Every Little Word contained a number of minor hits, but did not fare as well on the charts. His last top ten hit came in 1994 with the single, Stay Forever. That same year he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Ketchum's career was sidelined by a series of serious medical conditions which forced him to relearn how to walk and play the guitar. In 2019, Ketchum's wife announced that he had been diagnosed with early onset dementia, forcing him to retire from touring. The disease claimed his life a little over one year later.
