She was born on March 31, 1944 in Fayetteville to Julius Cornelius Slay and Irene Pelts Slay.
Julia worked at Tyson Foods in inventory control for 34 years. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Bella Vista. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling and playing in her bowling league.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Slay.
Survivors include her husband, James Kesner of the home; one son, Jody Brooks and wife Brandi of Rogers; two stepsons, Wes Kesner and wife Vanity of Bella Vista and Jason Kesner and wife Lana of Springdale; one sister, Linda Bilderback, and nine grandchildren, Zachary Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Brandon Kesner, Morgan Kesner, Kinley Kesner, Weston Kesner, Andrew Kesner, Matthew Kesner, and Luke Kesner.
Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 2 PM at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale with Pastor Larry Lavorne officiating.
