Alice I. Duncan, 71, of 82 Garden City Drive died Monday at home.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Myra I. (Smith) Beesley and the late Harry Beesley. She lived in Glastonbury, Conn., before moving to Cranston 25 years ago.
She was secretary to the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Providence for many years, and later secretary for the Fire Prevention Bureau of the Cranston Fire Department for 10 years until retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the Cranston Municipal Employees Association, a member of The Woman's Club of Cranston and The Cranston Business and Professional Womens' Club.
Besides her mother she is survived by a son and three grandchildren.
