MARIE GOSSETT, 92 years old, born on July 12, 1928, passed away from this life and went to her heavenly home on November 22, 2020. She was a member of Ridgecrest Church for 50 years and proudly sang in the choir. The last ten years she attended Palmerdale Cross Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and spent her life serving him in dedication. She lived her life helping friends and family in strong faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nelia Thompson; husband, Jim Gossett; son Jimmy Gossett; and daughter, Shirley “Terri” Rice (166794810-edit requested link to mother).

She is survived by her son John Gossett (Theresa); daughters, Tricia Mandeville (Mike), Carol Minyard and Susan Gossett; son-in-law, David Rice; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many friends and church family. She will be greatly missed. Everyone loved her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 1-2 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery (First Baptist Chalkville).
