A veteran of 42 years of service with the railroad, Mr. MacArthur came to Buffalo in 1925 as chief clerk of the district. He had recently been promoted to district manager. Mr. MacArthur was a member of the Transportation Club of Buffalo, the Buffalo Traffic Club and the Flour Club. A native of Cheltenham, Ont., he was the husband of the late Vera MacArthur.
Survivors include a son, William W. MacArthur of the Town of Tonawanda; a daughter, Mrs. James E. Rossney; a sister, Mrs. Theodore Nelson; and five grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bury Funeral Home, Kenmore. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery." Tonawanda NEWS, November23, 1966
