Frank Everett Breuning Jr. of Fresno left this world to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in Clovis, California. He was born February 23, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frank and Christina Koenig Breuning. The family moved to Spokane, Washington sometime in 1939 and by 1941 was in Los Angeles, California.
Frank graduated from Eagle Rock High School in 1947 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948, where he spent twenty-one years in service, mostly in communications and electronics. Over the course of his USAF career, he did tours in Japan, Libya, Italy, Newfoundland, France and Germany, but was stationed only in California stateside. He liked to joke around that he missed Korea by a day. Upon leaving the service, Frank continued in the field as an electronics technician working mainly on computer main-frame components and was employed by both Burroughs and Applied Magnetics before his retirement.

Frank loved music and learned to play the violin at a very young age. Some of his favorite movies to watch were the Rogers and Hammerstein musicals. He enjoyed wood-working, especially making old-time model cars that he has passed down to his grandsons.

In February, 1952, Frank met the love of his life, Joanne Grant, at a USO dance and the two were united in Holy Matrimony on September 13, 1952 in La Puente, California. Joanne preceded him in death in early 2019 after sixty-five years of marriage.

Frank is survived by his five children and his sister. [names omitted]

The family extends a special "thank you" to Sierra Care Clovis and St Agnes Hospice for taking such good care of him in his final days.
