Walter E. Havemann, 91, of Oshkosh, died Monday in his home. Winnebago County coroner Michael Stelter ruled the death accidental due to asphyxiation by carbon monoxide, with a heart attack as a contributing factor.

He was born June 30, 1889, the son of Diderich A. and Bertha Havemann. He married Anna Stein June 28, 1941, in Oshkosh. She died Sept. 29, 1968.

He worked for 23 years at Oshkosh Trunk, 23 years at Nolte-Havemann Feed Store, and for Bell Machine and the Leach Co.

There are no immediate survivors.

Christian Science services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Konrad Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen (Betty) Butcher will be the reader. Burial will be Riverside Cemetery. There will be no visitation..
