Moses Bart Roberts, Sr., age 76 of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Rockmart, Georgia. M.B. was born in Dallas, Georgia on February 29, 1944 the son of the late Hugh M. Roberts and Molly Cole Roberts Shead. He worked as owner/operator of his trucking company for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed several hobbies to include fishing, hunting, golfing and especially dirt track racing. M.B. was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church.
He is survived by his sons, Bart Roberts, Jr, New Georgia Community, Jason Roberts, Dallas, Georgia, sisters, Sarah Roberts, Dallas, Georgia, Denita Shead, Buchanan, Georgia, brothers and sisters-in-law, Waymon and Mary Roberts, Ted and Guynell Roberts, Edward and Gail Roberts, all of Dallas, Georgia. Seven grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Penny Evans and Kathy Keaton, sister, Betty Williams and brothers, Kenny Shead and Radford Roberts.
The family will receive friends at J. Collins Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.Tim Lanham, Rev. Thomas Blagg and Mr. Ed Sharon officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Melrose Hills Cemetery with Daniel Lanning, Brandon Lanning, Shane Gulledge, Dorsey Roberts, Nathan Roberts, Johnny Roberts, Brandon Roberts and Kyle Roberts serving as pallbearers.
