Janet Elaine Barber, age 78, of Mingo, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at MercyOne in Newton.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm at McKeever Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

The daughter of Alfred "AH" and Ollie (Freeman) Glassgow, Janet was born on November 24, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa. She grew up in Moulton and went to school there until her junior year of high school. She then graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1960. On July 23, 1960, she was united in marriage to David Allen Barber in Moulton. She helped on the farm most of her life. Janet enjoyed camping, fishing, pottery, painting and had a great love for animals.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David; two sons, Randall and Kevin (Teresa); five grandchildren, Curtis (Kylee), Calvin (Jennie), Kayla (Cody), Jeanetta, and Cody; and thirteen great grandchildren, Kimball, Elektra, Gavin, Tristen, Lukah, Addison, Beckett, GraceRyan, Cole, Josie, Brock, Morgan and Hasiley.

Preceding Janet in death were her parents and twin sisters, Carolyn and Marilyn, on July 4, 1937.
