Louisville, KY: Alice Marie Moldovan (nee Belasco), 96, of Louisville, Kentucky, died Friday February 17, 2023.She was born April 10, 1926 in Mingo Junction, Ohio and had been a resident of Louisville for 10 years moving from Lorain where she had resided most of her life.Alice worked as a Distribution Clerk in the Line Department at Ohio Edison for 19 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of St Peter Parish in Lorain and the St Francis of Assisi Mission Group of the church. She was also a member of the Ohio Edison Women's Club and the Fruehauf Women's Club. For many years, she volunteered at Lorain Community Hospital. She was a 1945 Graduate of Lorain High School and a member of numerous line dancing groups.She is survived by her daughters Jean Upson (James) of Lithia, Florida and Grace Cole (William) of LaGrange, Kentucky; grandchildren Michael Cole (Margaret), James Upson (Kerstin), Rebecca Newman (Michael), Kathryn Temple (Keith), Jessica Panaro (Robert), and Matthew Cole (Jessica) and great grandchildren Genevieve, Keegan and Amalia Upson; Sophie, Gavin, and Grayson Newman; Gweneth and Charles Temple; Emmett and Everleigh Panaro and Paxton Cole.She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Mathew G. Moldovan, parents Stephen Belasco and Lottie Belasco Zawada (nee Dzikowska), brother David Belasco and twin sister Agnes Daniels. The family will receive friends Wednesday February 22, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 23, 2023 at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Memorial contributions can be made to St Peter Parish, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44052.
