Mr. Roy G. Ellis, 95, of Mountain Home passed away Friday evening, September 28, 2007 at Care Manor. He was born July 18, 1912 in Exline, Iowa to Vernon and Olivia (Beard) Ellis. He married the former Hazel Nida on February 12, 1939. Mr. Ellis owned and operated Hoff Electric Armature Co. in Des Moines, IA where they lived until retiring to the Mountain Home area in 1974. He enjoyed travelling with the Airstream Club, bingo, and cards. He was a member of First United Methodist Church
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel, and stepson Earl Ellis. He is survived by his daughter Sharon (Harold) Saylor of Hamilton, OH, their 4 children, and 10 grandchildren, Earl's 7 children and 10 grandchildren, and a cousin, Phyllis Merritt of Sioux City, IA.
A committal service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Baxter Memorial Gardens' Mausoleum of Faith with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating and with visitation 30 minutes prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Van Matre Senior Center.
