Mr. James Rodney Reed, 74, Danville, died Saturday, September 30, 1995 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. Born February 26, 1921 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Charlie Reed and Lanta Sims Reed. He was a foreman at Mercer Dress and a member of the American Legion and Indian Hills Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II and a veteran of the Air Force. Survivors include: his wife, Hattie Jenkins Reed, Danville; one brother, Buell Reed, Junction City; three sisters, Lola Allender, Hallie Green, and Lillie Ross, all of Harrodsburg. Services for Mr. Reed were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Odis Clark and the Rev. Lee Cox officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
