Lavern L. James, 46, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.

Lavern was born Aug. 6. 1965. He was a dedicated police officer at Tarrant County College. He was a true friend, funny, always ready to make you laugh. Lavern loved to ride motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. James.

Survivors: Wife, Michelle L. James; children, Staci and Ashley James; brothers, Gerald and Charles James; mother, Brenda James; and grandmother,
Esther Griffith.
