Eddie Grigsby was the infant son of John Pitt Grigsby(1835-1874) and Octavia Clay Redus(1836-1889). Both the Grigsbys and the Reduses were early settlers in Limestone Co., AL. Eddie was the grandson of James and Margaret Martindale Grigsby on whose plantation the New Garden Cemetery was located. He was also the grandson of William Penn and Rebecca Hodges Redus.
