She was born September 3, 1935 in Thola to the late Leamon and Nora George Passmore. She was a homemaker and a baby sitter for several families for fifty years. She had also been a Mary Kay Representative. Mrs. Elrod enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Elrod and five siblings, Juanita Sutterfield, Betty Jones, Gerald Passmore, Bobby Passmore and Mary Sue Lewis.
She is survived by her children, Roger Elrod (Kim) of North Little Rock and Kathy Cooper (Eddie) of Jonesboro; a grandson, Brandon Cooper (Stacy) of Wynne; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Reese; a sister, Peggy Eich (Charles) of O’Fallen, Missouri; a brother, William Ray Passmore (Betty) of Paragould; a sister-in-law, Joyce Gunn of Jonesboro and several nieces, nephews and friends and the Collins family, Clay, Ben and Kyle who considered her memaw.
A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the eulogy by her grandson, Brandon Cooper. Interment will follow under the care of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation.
