Cemetery records, per phone call, show Folgert Munneke died (more likely buried) on May 11, 1946. An article in the Pawnee (NE) Republican said F.J. (Folger Johannes) Munneke's ashes were to be sent to Fulton IL after a funeral service in Oceanside CA. His parents and brother Menno are also recorded as buried there. Presumably winter conditions caused the difference in death-to-burial dates. He married Hattie Rebecca Wagoner in 1880 in Panama, Lancaster, Nebraska. As of the 1910 Census, they had 9 children, all still living at the time.
Missing from Find A Grave are two daughters:
- Harriette McHose/Barrett: b. Nov 7, 1898 Neb; d. 3-22-1986 Santa Barbara co, CA (aka Hattie Helen)
- Kathryn D. Dilkes: b. Dec 10, 1901/1902 Neb; d. 2-15-1980 San Diego co, CA.
