Hulda V. "Dutch" Hefner, 90, died at 9:36 p.m. July 20, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Marion County to Clyde and Ethel Strause Myers, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 9, 1950, she married Martin V. Hefner, who died Aug. 11, 1993. Mrs. Hefner was owner and operator of Hefner's Beauty Shop for many years. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She loved to travel and loved her family. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Patricia (Michael) Ireland, of Lima; two grandsons, Craig Cummings, of Maumee, and Chris Cummings, of Bay Village; and four great-grandchildren, Brienne, Colin, Brian and Kevin. She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Lehner. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Howard Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
