Von is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Eugene Grupe; parents, Samuel Arthur Wilson and Nettie Shelton Wilson; sisters, Wanda Pearl Cross, Alma Dean Dalmolin, Donna Youngblood; brothers, Roy Shelton, Ray Wilson, Bob Wilson, Doug Wilson.
She was the 4th of eight children and very proud of her Native American Indian heritage. Her maternal grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian, who as a child walked the Trail of Tears. Her paternal great grandmother was also full blood Cherokee Indian.
She had a great sense of humor and welcomed everyone and made them feel like family. Everyone loved her famous homemade rolls and delicious melt in your mouth cinnamon rolls. She had many activities and hobbies in life from cooking on the ranches, canning, sewing, growing her vegetable gardens, rose gardens, making pets out of all animals and fishing on the rivers, but most of all loving life and the people in it.
Von is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, which she raised as her own since she never had children, as well as other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately after at 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Greens Chapel Cemetery in Lockesburg, Arkansas at 1:00 P.M.
