Noah Andrew Atchley was the son of James "Jim" McCampbell Atchley and Eatha Mahan and grew up in Meigs Co., TN in what most locals refer to as the Shiloh Community on No Pone Valley Road. Historically, this area has been referred to as Pineland however the area is listed as Allen on most recent maps. He married Martha P. Clingan on June 7, 1883 in Meigs Co. Noah was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and church records show that he was ordained there as a minister in 1893. He is listed as living in Meigs Co. near the unincorporated community of Georgetown in the 1900 census. A record for his family could not be located for the 1910 census however he is listed as living in St. Elmo near downtown Chattanooga in the 1920 census. His burial location is unknown at this time however his death certificate indicates Shiloh Baptist in Meigs Co as his burial location. If he was buried in the Shiloh Cemetery, his grave appears to have been lost.
