Doris Arlene (Harper) Thornburg entered into eternal life Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the age of 89 years. She was born June 2, 1931 in Greenleaf, KS to Grace & Charlie Harper.

At the age of 16 she was united in marriage to Wilton Thornburg, Jr. and together they were blessed with 7 children Cynthia (Mike) Stockwell of Beaver Lake, Dixie Bolender of Lincoln, Debbie (Doug) Ripa of Wilber, Jim Thornburg of Ruston, LA, (Special Friend Kathy Boroff) Diane (Steve) Oltman of Filley, Steve Thornburg of Fairbury & Michelle (Wilbur) Young also of Fairbury.

She spent her life raising seven children, working at Head Start & Kids Connection until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by husband Junior, parents Charlie & Grace Harper, brothers Edward, Herman & Donnie, sister Reva, mother & father-in-law Wilt & Lela, sisters-in-laws Beulah & Phyllis & brother-in-law Lester.

She is survived by sister Glenda (Doug) Spilker of Diller, brother Garry (JoAnn) Harper of Omaha and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.

A private family service will be held Monday, November 16th at 10:30 at the United Methodist Church in Fairbury. There will be visitation on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home – Masks are required for all services. You are welcome to join us for a ride through Crystal Springs following the service.
